Ashman Ridge East worth the climb!

Chrissy made it all the way to the top of Ashman Ridge East… and even jumped into what might be the coldest mountain water around! That takes commitment!

Located west of Smithers, Ashman Ridge East takes you through subalpine forest and beautiful open meadows before reaching incredible views across the surrounding mountains. The area is known for its wet alpine meadows, mountain goats on nearby slopes and some interesting geology at the summit.

This is true backcountry country — the trail can become difficult to follow through the tall meadows, weather can change quickly, and there's no cell service, so come prepared.
