Phil Bernier isn't just a realtor — he's a Smithers success story. Born and raised in the Bulkley Valley, Phil left to pursue education in Sport Administration at Mount Royal University in Calgary. His career with Alpine Canada as Director of Events took him across the country, including the 2010 Olympics, giving him a unique perspective on mountain communities from coast to coast.
But after 15 years away, the mountains called him home. Phil and his wife Carlee (also a Smithers native) returned to raise their son Hugo in the valley they love, surrounded by family and the outdoor lifestyle that defines the region.
Before real estate, Phil served as Business Development and Community Relations Director for BV Electric, deepening his connections with community stakeholders across Northern BC. This experience, combined with his sports management background, shaped his approach to real estate: relationship-focused, community-minded, and dedicated to understanding each client's unique vision of home.
